Vintage window mirrors are a lovely way to add style and interest whilst creating an illusion of space and depth. They can be especially effective in smaller, darker rooms, or in areas where you are looking to add a feature piece.
This window mirror has been upcycled from a Victorian sash window. Carefully hand painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paints, namely Paris Grey and Old White, distressed and waxed with a clear and dark wax to create an aged patina to reflect the heritage of the window. The original brass window catch has been kept in place.
Acrylic Mirror has been added to the back of the window, along with two heavy duty strap hangers. I can provide additional wall fixings, dependent on how you are intending to hang this piece, however, please note this is very solid and heavy, so should only be hung from a wall that is able to take its weight.
Measurements: 76.5cm High x 86cm Wide x 5cm Deep
Looking for a different colour? I have two other Victorian sash windows which are available for commission, in colour/s of your choosing. They are the other pairs to the style of sash window in this listing, so measure 80cm High x 86cm Wide and do not have the window catches. Please use the 'Contact Us' button to discuss options.

Please Note: To keep the weight of the finished product down (the original frames are very heavy and solid!) I use acrylic mirror, so please note that acrylic is flexible, so the reflection can differ slightly from glass mirror when looked at from different angles.
The frame and glass do reflect the age of the window and can have signs of rust, clouding and scratches. Due to its weight and age, if you decide to use one of these frames outside I would recommend you take it down for safe keeping during poor weather. We have also noted that if hung outside, condensation can build up on the inside of the glass when there has been a drop in temperature overnight, however, over time this will clear.
Delivery Cost: Nobody likes paying delivery costs and everyone loves free shipping.
We wish we could offer you free shipping, but to do that we would need to add a large amount of money to the price of the piece and you’d be paying the same amount whether you were ten or five hundred miles away from our workshop.
So, in the interests of fairness we will only charge you what we are being charged for delivery, which is dependent on your location. Just pop us a message with your postcode and the item you’re interested in and we'll get back to you as soon as possible with a quote.
Please be assured that we use reliable, specialist couriers and if you would like to collect from us in Woking, Surrey, you are very welcome.
